I liked the first book....but half-way thru the second book...the Navy had a destroyer EXEC ...parachuting back into Japanese territory to save his “ nurse”....Fantasy...at best!BTW: I served as an Army Officer for twenty-four years....seven combat tours...This book had potential....but sunk into fantasy....not even close to historical fact..,Sad😞😞🤔 A good yarn based on some quality research about some aspects of the Pacific war. Author brings in too many peripheral characters with only limited value to the storyline.It may just be the Kindle version, but the text is burdened by errors in sentence structure, changes in spelling of character and ship names, and far too many typographical errors. Kindle and the book's publisher need to be doing better.
